Live Well Die Well is a video and sculptural installation motivated by my grandmother's last advice before she passed away. She was a woman with momentum, strength, and beauty. During her final weeks, I couldn't help myself from drawing a horse galloping, viewing videos of them, and listening to bands like the Flamingos. They gave me a sense of serenity. I laser cut through a dictionary her advice she gave me. There is something unconstitutional in defacing a book. Similar to losing the person we cherish most feels criminal.
