Darlings
‘My Darlings’ is an evolving collection of 3D modelled and textured renders dedicated to preserving the memory of found items. The 3D-rendered imagery is UV printed on white faux leather and sewn into a denim frame with a clear acrylic piece overlapping the image. These digital renderings of objects or lifeforms allowed to keep them without physically disturbing them because my darlings do not belong in my possession or symbolize something beyond a physical form. However, exceptions apply, like the denim used for the frames required an intervention to avoid the landfill. The digital medium allows emphasis, manipulation and iterations to represent their initial lure visually. This process is the unfolding of the nuances of possession and the visualization of the simulacra of an object or thing.
